Lucky...

I always think it’s very lucky to be able to see rainbow...we saw 2 rainbows last sat (pics on the top)...not together, 1 first then the other one...the 2nd one was quite faint, so I couldn’t capture it...the 2 pics r on the same 1st rainbow...just that the aeroplane happened to be there...

The other time that I had the chance of seeing 2 rainbows happened at the same time (1 then 2 together) was on 1 jan 07, the first day of this yr...an amazing big welcome to this new yr...

Up is down

It’s another movie-Friday...pirates3! On thu, LJ suggested watching the next day, which I don’t mind...cos our company will be letting us off @ 5pm in view of the "Eat with your family day"...well, since I normally eat dinner w my family unless I work till quite late, so I think it doesn’t quite matter to me...but then, I still worked till the same off-time...

I didn’t watch pirates1 in the theatre but just before pirates2, my mgr lent me the vcd – interesting story, funny jack sparrow, beautiful elizabeth, handsome will...then after that, watched pirates2 w a fren, WK, in the cinema...2nd part was also nice...still as interesting, still as funny...jack sparrow is indisputably the spirit of the show, can’t do without him :p

Well, after the 3rd, i’d say, to me it’s not as exciting...but I was extremely impressed with the “up is down”, where the whole ship is over-turned in order to come back...abt 3hrs for this show...ha, n the "xiao ma ge" in this show is quite off lor...with his "welcome to singapore"...both LJ n I waited for the roller credits (a whole of 10mins!) to finish...from past experience, the first 2 parts had something after it...n luckily without fail, this 3rd part also...those who left before it missed out this...n it’s certainly worth waiting as at least now u know after 10yrs, HE came back!

2nd time trying this tarot card reading…and to me, it’s quite accurate. regarding my work, I’ll be handling new tasks so in a way, I’m on my way to a brand new beginning…and i have all that i need or be anything that i want? really? i hope so...but I haven’t been daydreaming or fantasizing…or maybe I am? Blades of Glory

it’s a movies weekend…as i watched another movie this afternoon… “Blades of Glory”…initially I thought this movie must be one of those no-story, all craps type but since my fren, BX, suggested it, I agreed…well, I also need a de-stress from the busy work schedule, and this could be it…

Chazz Michael Michaels (Will Ferrell) and Jimmy MacElroy (Jon Heder) are rival world-class men’s single ice skaters…they tied for the gold medal at the world championship and ended up fighting each other which caused the Games’ mascot on fire…as a result, they were stripped of the gold medals and were banned from skating in this category for the rest of their lives…this came as a big blow to both of them, as they were both number 1, not just in this 1 competition…

3 n a half yrs later, Chazz was seen working for a children’s show-on-ice play acting as an evil wizard…behind the mask, he’s always drinking n 3/4-drunk…on the other hand, Jimmy was working in a skate supply shop as a assistant…a die-hard fan of Jimmy found Jimmy and told him he can actually return to the skating competitions as a pair (as they were only banned from their singles category)…so he tried to find a female partner but to no avail…in the end, he saw Chazz and they ended up fighting again…Jimmy’s coach saw the news on tv and thought that it’d be a good idea if they can pair up instead…after much persuasion, they finally agreed and became the first male-male pair to compete…

Their training sessions were very funny as they cannot see eye-to-eye; they had been rivals for so long and to pair up as a team, was really unacceptable to them…at their first competition (the national competition), they finally put aside all their differences and gave the audience a wonderful performance…and won themselves a place in the International competition…of course their journey wasn't smooth-sailing; they met with set-backs like the rival team (a twin bro-sis team) tried to break them up by forcing their sister whom Jimmy is in love with to seduce Chazz…and even to the extent of “kidnapping” them just before the competition…but of course, the evil can never win…and the Jimmy-Chazz pair won the Gold medal as they executed the “Iron Lotus” perfectly…

This is a very hilarious comedy, many unbelievable scenes, incredible yet too funny…just can’t stop laughing…indeed stress-relieving…aside this funny element, I would say this is an inspiring movie as well…2 men stripped of their hard-earned gold medal, and their lives were totally changed as they had to give up their life career and dreams as well…however, they picked themselves up and even put aside their dislike for each other and all their differences to make a comeback…as long as u have a dream, don’t ever give up…fly to your dreams, and 1 day u will realize it…a quote from Jimmy: "if u can dream it, u can do it!"

Priceless

watched "priceless" yesterday w a fren, HY, @ PS...row 1, full house...well, no choice, as not all cinemas screen it...but we were glad that our necks were still intact after the movie...btw, the movie is in french, so we could only rely on the subtitles + the expressions of the actors...

"priceless" is abt the price of falling in love...the female lead, Irene, played by a beautiful actress, is a woman who's always looking out for her "prey" in order to live an extravagant lifestyle...branded goods from head to toe, the most expensive restaurants, hotels, etc...

while on a holiday with one of her rich old lovers, she met Jean (the male lead) and mistook him for a young millionaire when in fact, he's only a very poor bartender/waiter...she "fell" in love with him and had a one-night stand with him...but she went back to the old guy after that...n Jean had already fallen in love w her...

1 yr later, Irene and the same old lover went back to the same hotel for a holiday where she met Jean again...they had another 1-night stand which the old lover found out and dumped her immediately...Irene turned to Jean n lied to him that she has decided to be with him instead of the old man...soon she discovered that Jean is just a fake and dumped him the same way she was dumped... Jean, who was already hopelessly in love with her, chased her to another town and tried to please her using all his money...but his money soon ran out, and Irene still left him in the end n continued to seduce other rich old men...

The twist came when Jean was picked up by a rich widow and he learnt abt how to please women. Irene lent a helping hand n taught him how to seduce women...using lines like "i'd like to..", "i'd love to.." - unfinished sentences will make the other party panick...n other eyes expressions to seduce the other party...

As the 2 couples lived in the same hotel, Jean n Irene often crossed each other's path while still with their respective lovers...they soon grew closer n sooner than expected, irene realised that as she taught him how to seduce women, she herself is being seduced by Jean!

A romantic ending to end this romance...the female lead is simply gorgeous n the male lead is quite a nerd until he was "transformed"...while he was learning to seduce people with his nerdy expressions, it was very hilarious...made the whole theatre laugh... Thumbs up for this movie, definitely worth watching...a romantic comedy suitable for anyone...n i definitely agree with the review that it leaves u feeling good abt love n believing that the heart never lies although the wallet may be unable to keep up with love's extravagant tastes...after all, true love overcomes everything...

Out of action...

heard this “bad news” on the radio this morning that Cruz (ding zhi yong) will be out of action for 6 weeks! He broke at least 3 of his bones…I wonder what happened…

well, listening to 933 every morning has become a routine since I started having my mp3 that comes with FM Radio…n 就是万人迷has accompanied me thru my many many bus journeys to work…and it’s becoming a habit to listen to it…sometimes when I know that Cruz is on leave or on MC, I will feel that the morning is somehow incomplete…now he's gonna be out of action for not 1, 2 days but 6 weeks! 30 working days??!!

I can’t really say why, but I just like his way of “talking”…he has this power of “waking” people up in the morning…esp with his voice…“it’s Friday!”... “woohoo”…

Well, just hope he recovers fast and we can hear his voice again on radio soon! Take care!

Spidey 3

watched spiderman3 this afternoon w LJ...i followed spidey thru the 1st, the 2nd n now the 3rd part...i like spidey movies...just some comments on this 3rd part, the sandman looks like the incredible hulk to me :p n i like harry osborn a lot...he is the cutest guy in the movie n his smile is really captivating but his character is a sad one...

"u always have a choice in everything u do"...i agree w spidey in this...although sometimes the situation may not seem to allow u to really make a choice, i still believe there is always an element of choice available...

or is it just easier said than done?

第一部：星期六和星期日的 “大唐双龙传”里的徐子陵。。。由吴卓曦饰演。。。此子陵非紫玲，但每次听到都忍不住。。。是在叫我吗？ 大帅哥的名字和我的“一样”还真不错 :P

第二部：星期一至五的 “幸福双人床”里的翁紫玲。。。由刘芷绚饰演。。。大美女的名字竟然和我的一样。。。真是莫大的荣幸。。。
这部戏很好看。。。戏里探讨了两性之间的问题。。。每天都会赶回家看。。。看了能大笑和消除压力。。。每天下班后，需要的就是这种戏。。。希望接下来的戏还是那么好看。。。
