The Enchanted

Once upon a time...

My colleague asked if I want to watch The Enchanted with her...n so there we are, watching it after work on a friday nite...

I like the integration of the different fairy tales with the modern world...to me, it is a very special story, with a very clever way of blending the 2 different mindsets together...

I like Giselle – she’s very pretty n she looks exactly like a princess that exists in fairy tales...i like Robert, whose smile is so so charming...i like Robert’s daughter, Morgan, who’s so adorable...i like the chipmunk which is really cute n funny...i especially like the twist in the story... :)

and of course, they live happily ever after...

Thinking out of the box or too stressed?

One of our hospitals is facing capacity issue, i.e. not enough beds / wards...other than further space expansion, my manager came out with the following idea...

She suggested: why don’t we have double-deckers in our wards...
Our response: we are a hospital, not a hotel / hostel...and how are the nurses supposed to bring the patients up to the upper level?
She: haven’t u heard of the pulley system?
Us: alamak n speechless...
She: n patients are not supposed to move around, so by warding them at the upper level, it fits the purpose...
Us: she must be too stressed!

HERO

It’s my first movie after 2 months from watching the Home Song Stories...

From the first time I saw the movie poster @ somerset mrt, I’ve already made up my mind to watch it...main reason simply being the actors – takuya kimura – my fav jap star... :p and lee byung-hun – the most “man” Korean star...ha...

Finally, the movie is screened...HH and I watched it yesterday...from the day we set to watch, I’ve been quite excited...ha...like a child... :p

Well, I like the movie...although there are some missing linkages, it’s still a very nice story...every character, no matter how small, has its own unique ways of catching the audience’s attention...that’s something very remarkable...

Tired...

Just one word to describe my current situation – tired...nothing but tired...

I’m really drained, both physically n emotionally...sometimes, no matter how hard u work or how much effort u put in (esp if you have gone the extra mile to do more or shd i actually term it as kaypoh), just some comments (whether it’s deliberate or unintentional) will break the person down...then u will start thinking whether all the effort n hard work u've put in is worth it or not...

At the end of the day, will u just do what u r supposed to do n don’t cross the border at all? But is it that easy to draw the line?

If u have followed the 真字 that Pris gave me last week, you would probably hope that 715 戚玉武 is called 718 戚玉发 instead...cos last Sunday, 0718 appeared in starter...hmm...if not, I'd have been $250 richer now...ha... ;p
