Touched

Last week from Mon to Wed, I’d wanted to go see doc to get some medicine for emergency use when I go Hong Kong on Thu...but had been very busy so didn’t have time at all...on Wed nite, the very sweet W took out a pack of medicine with labels n gave it to me when we met for dinner...was very touched when I saw that...thanks :)

Counting down

Another 20 calendar days to go before my last day of work...but officially, the number of working days is just 7.5 days as I’ll be clearing some leaves...

While doing handover to a colleague, a few thoughts came to my mind...when I was first handed over those monthly stuff, I wanted to really understand what each report is presenting n the way to come up with the reports...some, I really did understand...some, I didn’t have the time to further understand...like why the query file was set up that way...i always wanted to find time to understand instead of just pressing the “process” button each month...but then, it’s sometimes really not easy to find that time...n now, it’s the time to handover, so it’s no longer important to find out also...

It’s always easier to see mistakes of others than to find our own mistakes...sometimes when I’ve taught the colleague 1 thing, the next day she comes n tell me that she has forgotten...i’m really scared that I’ll be the same when I start my own new job...so, now I’m really crossing my fingers on this n hope I will be able to catch everything as accurate n fast as possible...

Different people have different expectations...i hope I will be able to meet those expectations...both mine and the other party...

Sometimes I feel a bit sad...cos I’ve worked here for 2yrs n a lot of things (be it the work, the industry or the people) have grown from unfamiliar to very familiar...I’ve also put in a lot of effort n hard work...n yes, I also received some recognition, appreciation n reputation from the people I’ve worked with...n also the frens that I’ve made...so, in a way, I feel sad that I’m leaving this familiar place...

However, since I’ve made the decision, I am actually looking very forward to the new environment, new work (although it’s still an analyst job) n new challenge...

What happens in Vegas

It was quite a last min decision to catch a movie yesterday after work...i chose “What happens in Vegas”...well, the story is quite expected but it’s funny, witty n humorous...n it kept me laughing almost throughout the whole movie...

To me, I’d rather watch something that can make me laugh than to watch any other types of movie...so this is just the kind of movie... :)
