Silver Stars

Attended my company’s charity event – Silver Stars yesterday…

The reasons that attracted me there are:-
~ tickets are free (but were only offered yesterday – last min and 1 staff max 2tickets)
~ it’s a combination of Broadway Beng! and Dim Sum Dollies

Have been wanting to watch Broadway Beng! after hearing many good reviews of it…but because I’m not a dialect person (I dun understand when songs are sang in Hokkien unless the songs are sang in a slow pace)…spoken hokkien half-half ba… ;p

Other than Broadway Beng! and Dim Sum Dollies, there is also another accapella group “Vocaluptuous” but I enjoyed Broadway Beng! the most…Sebestian Tan is really funny…

Lesson 4

Lesson 4:
~ learnt more abt U-turn:-u-turn @ traffic lights...u-turn and stop at the middle to wait for cars to pass before continuing with the turn...
~ moving off from slope...engine stalled once cos @ "biting point" , i haven't released the handbrake then released the clutch further...
~ i dun really know how to control the steering wheel...sometimes, i just went off the lane unknowingly...the instructor said, with further practice, i should be able to control the steering wheel better...
ok, looking forward to be more steady the next time i drive...

Watched abt half of the "命中注定我爱你"...and was thinking, how’s the ending…? But think shd be a happy ending for 纪存希and 陈欣仪...

This drama is really funny and some parts very real…no wonder it had a very high viewership when screened in Taiwan…I like the combination of 阮经天and 陈乔恩...also quite like 陈楚河 (Dylan 神父) but I dun like 白歆惠 :p

Am wondering, is there really such a thing called 命中注定?

Lesson 3

Lesson 3:
~ drove from Jurong East mrt station to Tuas…saw the new Joo Koon Mrt station…
~ learnt how to start off from a slope without rolling backwards (roll backwards less than 1m, deduct 2pts, roll backwards more than 1m, immediate failure)…the crucial thing is the biting point…and when it’s ok to release the handbrake without rolling backwards…
~ engine stalled 3 times…I admit I was a bit gan cheong at some points…plus, I took cold medicine before the lesson…so I wasn’t too alert…the instructor said, maybe my legs are too tired…and so I let go of the accelerator at the same time I let go of the clutch…shd be 1 up, 1 down…
~ well, I guess my legs were quite tired as I felt the tiredness at night…after driving for more than 1 hour…and for a beginner like me… :p
~ ok, things are getting harder…and I shall work harder…to learn all the things…

I wrote 企鹅宝贝 in Aug 2007 before I know W...and JY commented that I can keep a virtual penguin pet...

Seems like my wish is now fulfilled...and it's from W :)

But I dun think I've ever mentioned to W that penguins are my favourite :p

最近，超喜欢这首歌...反复的重复着，觉得非常好听...
喜欢也很赞同他的：“请用心听 不要说话”和“爱是用心吗 不要说话”...
两个人在一起，应该就有默契，很多时候，也都尽在不言中吧！

Lesson 2

Attended my 2nd lesson yesterday morning...learned turning, stopping by the road side, how to control the steering wheel in the correct direction, U-turn and driving on the main road with traffic...

Hope things will continue to be fine and looking forward to lesson 3 next week :)

Coffee anyone?

Met up with a fren cum ex-colleague - JN this afternoon for a cup of coffee...JN left the company like 8mths before me...and I'm glad that we still keep in touch...

Out of a coincidence, both of us feel that although we learn new things in our current respective company, we still feel that it's nothing compared to what we have learnt in our ex-company...and the sense of satisfaction that we used to experience there is since lost...

So, she popped 1 question, will you want to go back there and work? I think both of us felt that when we tendered, we already reached a point whereby we were too tired to stay any longer there...my answer to her question is, unless things can change, I don't think I'll want to go back...

It's nice catching up with frens...after my busy work schedule, I do hope that I can catch up with my other frens...

快慢

过得最快，又过得最慢的是：时间

Everyone has 24hours a day...and time passes 1 sec by 1 sec...1 min by 1 min...1 hour by 1 hour...it's the same for everyone...

But why is it, sometimes we feel that time passes by so quickly yet sometimes so slowly??

Recently, I always feel the weekends, especially Saturdays just passed by in a blink...it's like, I haven't even done anything or enjoy myself, then it's night time...

It's the same with work...I have been quite busy over this past month...and time really does fly like a blink of eye...before I know it, it's lunch time...and just a while after lunch, it's 545pm...and colleagues start to go home...and shortly, it's 7+...shortly again, it's 8+, 9+...are we short of time or are we just having too much work?

The opposite happens when there aren't too many things to do...and we would lament, why isn't it time for lunch? and why isn't it time to knock off?
