21

Ben, a very smart student at the MIT, wanted to study at Harvard Medical School but he didn’t have the money...furthermore, there was a huge number of contenders for the scholarship so it made his chance of getting the scholarship low...

His MIT math professor – “Micky” realized Ben’s ‘talent’ and asked him to join him and his team in earning big bucks...21 – blackjack...using some codes, signals and their superb math skills, they could easily ‘count’ the cards, so getting to win in the game is as easy as 123...

Originally, Ben had only wanted to win the school fees for Harvard - $300K...but soon, he ‘lost’ himself into the game...as getting rich and getting anything he wanted seems easier n easier...“at Vegas, u can be anyone u like” made him fall deeper into the game...so even when he had already ‘earned’ $315K, he didn’t stop...
In the process, he fell out w Micky and Micky sabotaged him by informing the casino’s loss prevention head – Cole, abt him and also making him fail to graduate from MIT...the worst was, he even took all of Ben’s money $315K...

With nothing, Ben decided to agree to Cole’s proposal to get Micky...so in the end, Cole got Micky but he did not abide to his terms, took all of Ben’s chips...however, Ben remembered from Mikey’s class, in all circumstances, always account for variable change...and, he had already ‘engaged’ his friends to help him win at the casino while his own chips were being ‘taken’ by Cole...

I quite like the story...it’s human nature to be greedy...n the moral for this story - always account for variable change... :p

But of course, never let greed run your head...
